Nune Ananyan (B.F.A., A.R.C.T., B. Ed.)Piano, Vocal
Growing up in a musically oriented family, Nune started appreciating and loving music at a very early age. When she turned five, she joined Tigran Hekekyan’s choir in Armenia, giving concerts nearly every month in the Armenian Opera house. The Repertoire that consisted of songs in different genres, gradually developed her interest in folk, classical and jazz music. At the age of nine she entered the Armenian Academy of music and in 2005 the family moved to Canada, where she continued her studies. She performed and got involved in many competitions both piano and vocal within Royal Conservatory and also performed in musicals (Children of Eden) and Church Choirs. She graduated from Royal Conservatory, and received her ARCT diploma. She also completed her Bachelor degree in music at York University. There, she has won the Concerto Competition in 2013 by playing Khachaturian’s piano concerto.
Since 2009, Nune has been teaching piano, vocal and theory in music schools and privately.
