PRIVATE LESSONS POLICIES
ABSENCE
Notice of absence must be received by our office at least 24 hours before the lesson time to qualify for make-up. Failure to call before the 24 hour mark will result in a charge for the lesson; no make-up lessons will be granted.
In case of sickness, contact us at least 2 hours before your lesson time. A make-up lesson will be granted if a doctor’s note or prescription is presented to the office.
To report absence, please use the “cancellations” tab on our website (www.pro-music.ca), or send us an email (info.rh@pro-music.ca). We will send you a confirmation email for your record.
Any lessons that will be missed for vacations or for long holiday weekends (Thanksgiving, Easter, etc.) and March Break, can be rescheduled to another date and are uncredited.
Maximum of 4 make-up lessons per school year (Sept – June) will be granted for absences with 24 hours notice.
All make-up lessons must be completed before July 15 of each school year.
Missed lessons may only be rescheduled once.
Credits from student’s cancellations are non-refundable and may only be used towards make-up lessons.
TERMINATION
TERMINATION
One month notice is required to withdraw from the program.
An administration fee of $25 will be applied to tuition refunds for withdrawals one month before the first lesson.
Tuition is payable for the duration of the one-month period whether lessons are taken or not.
Credits from missed lessons are non-refundable upon termination. However, they may be used as tuition towards make-up or other lessons.
DISHONORED ITEMS
Pro-Music will charge a $15.00 fee on all cheques returned by the bank.
CANCELLATION DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
In case of class cancellations due to weather, we will NOT notify students individually. Please call us 2 hours before your lesson to confirm if classes have been cancelled.
SUSPENSION OF STUDENT
Pro-Music reserves the right to suspend students for non-payment of tuition, extreme absence or inappropriate conduct.
CANCELLATION OF INSTRUCTION
Pro-Music reserves the right to cancel any course or level of instruction at any time without advance notice or liability other than to refund tuition fees received for lessons cancelled due to such cancellation or closing.
Pro-Music reserves the right to provide supply teachers without advance notice.
In the absence of a teacher, the administration will either assign a substitute teacher or reschedule a make-up lesson.
SUPPLY TEACHER
Pro-Music reserves the right to provide supply teachers due to the cancellation of the original instructor without advance notice.PICTURES TAKEN AT PRO-MUSIC
Pro-Music may use pictures taken at Pro-Music and/or Pro-Music functions in promotional materials, such as pamphlets, website and Facebook.
PAYMENT METHODS
Option A: Monthly payment
Tuition for both first and second months are payable at registration.
Tuition of all following months is payable on or before the 15th day of the previous month.
Monthly post-dated cheques and pre-authorization credit payment options are available.
Option B: Full Sememster Pre-payment
Full semester payment is payable 2 weeks prior to the first day of each semester.
Fall Semester = September to January; Winter Semester= February to June
Customers who choose this method will get one free lesson per semester (excluding Summer Session).
*A one-time $15 registration fee applies to new students.
DISCOUNTS
If your child is already learning music with us, any additional siblings that also join will receive a $1.00 discount per lesson. This same deal applies if you want to enroll your child in multiple musical programs.
REFERRAL PROGRAM
If you refer a friend, relative, or anyone else who successfully enrolls with us, you will receive a $20 credit towards the tuition for next fall or winter term.
